Go ahead and tell your longest shot stories here.

as close as i can get to them. more accurate that way and less waste of paint.

sometimes you can't get close, but i never spend time in a longball contest from 60 yards away. thats worthless.

usually end up 10-20 yards away, although i get much closer than that when i can.

longest shot stoties?

this past May i attended the GI Joe 26 hour Scenairo Game at sherwood forest in La Porte, Indiana. i played stock class with my phantom almost the entire time. i was out in front and the opp team was bunkered in in a clearing. too long for us to run with no cover. there was one guy in a bunker about 170-200 feet away. all i could see was his mask in a "head" sized hole in the log bunker. i said what the heck and logballed 2 shots. the second one dropped right on his lense. longest shot i have made that i saw it break.

I should say that I usually will only shoot 3 shots at a person at extreme distances but 50 yard for me is almost a guarranteed hit.

i prefer <30 feet. less paint wasted, better chance of a hit.

i play sniper when not playing SCO.

Well, you just asked two questions. The poll was "How far do you usually shoot people from." My response to that is 20 yards, or 60 feet.

My -longest shot- however, was topping at about 150 feet to 170...I had to arc that bad boy, and it bounced when it hit. But boy did it scare him! Direct chest shot, but since he was wearing a loose fit sweatshirt, it just bounced from the extreme distance, windage, and material.

My general rule is get them as close as possible then shoot them. Just have less chance of missing them. If at all possible I let them pass me, then take the shot.

However if they are approaching and they happen to notice me or notice something I take the shot as soon as I have a clean one.

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

Avrage about 60-100 feet. Really depends on how fast he is moving or the shubbery.

I dunno... I've had kills as close as 15 feet and as far as like 90 (that took alot more paint!). I'd say my average is more around 50 feet, though. Also... how exactly do you get a paintball kill at 70 yards or more? That's over 200 ft

I try to get within 30 yards but I can hit them from 50 with no wind every shot.(windy not every shot) closer the easier to hit, but more chance they'll see you if ur not properly camo'd

who here thinks this guys a noob? sorry, but paintball snipers dont take long shots. its not possible. if you hit anyone from more than 40 yards, you just made a lucky shot. paintball snipers are mostly used for intel/ recon, not for rediculously long shots.
there is no evolution. Just a list of animals Chuck norris allows to live.

My longest sniper shot was this past Sunday, where I hit a guy from about 60 feet with one shot in the hand. I wasn't even trying to hit him, just hold him down for a team mate to take him out, so I fired one shot to see where it would land and then I could adjust accordingly to supress... but it killed him. Luck is fun.

EDIT: I don't count some of my longer shots as much just because I used so much paint.

I generally don't snipe, but my gun is accurate enough that I oneshot alot. For an ambush I generally wait until they're within 30 feet. Multiple targets are differant because you want to maximize the chances of a kill AND the chances that you will get away. Getting two kills out of an ambush is pretty rare for me so I play based on that.

My longest shot is probably around 150 feet. I've made a few at that range, but its always because the target underestimated how far I can arc em out there. The most recent was a friend of mine doing a little dance in the open because he thought he was out of range. There was a ridge between us so all i could see was his head and shouders when I shot him, but the ring off of his CO2 and the stream of obscenities was unmistakeable. The shot was more luck than skill, but it still felt good.
Q: How many George W. Bush Administration officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: None. There is nothing wrong with the light bulb; it’s condition is improving every day. Any reports of it’s lack of incandescence are totally unfounded, and the result of delusional“ spin” assaults from the fanatic, elitist, liberal media. That light bulb has served honorably, and anything you say undermines the lighting effect and dims it’s ego. WHY DO YOU HATE FREEDOM?!
