After sitting in the bush for a few hours guarding our flank in a scenario last week, my wife, Wendy stated she wanted to be a sniper. Here is her new setup that she used yesterday:

Tippman Straightline barrel, Tiberius red dot and fore grip. The conversation after our second game was dominated by how she nailed a guy in the mask from 15 yards. He had us all pinned down and kept popping his head out from behind a bunker to spray paint. Wendy waited until it was clear, stood up and took one shot to save us. The guy even said it was like slow motion, he saw the shot coming at his face, but couldn't move in time. She is now a permanent sniper on our team.

Sweet! Nice, simple and clean. I like it. I'm a BT freak anyway.

Yeah she always rolls light. Doesnt want anything unnecessary, no stock, no remote, no gadgets. Usually only carries 3 100 rd pods, but sticks close to me, since i always go heavy. Ran out of paint once and promised to never do that again. LOL!

Cool, just don't be to narrow minded on the whole "sniper" position. Paintball is not like real war so you will need to be versatile during a game, because things change, and your gun doesn't have longer range then others.

I agree completely, she is always willing to step into any position required. She has sat under cover for an hour and never moved or fired a shot, just to guard our flank. She has also charged bunkers, and laid paint in full auto for cover fire. I just think she like the title and the look on peoples faces when they see a girl as a sniper. I also think being a sniper in paintball is more about patience and stealth, more than long range shots.

Great for her- we need more women in the game, and I love seeing a dudes face when he realizes he's been pegged by a girl ?!?! Priceless. How's the Straightline working out for her? I've heard some good things about the accuracy and such, so any confirmation or denial would be interesting. I need to get my wife to play one of these days.

She loves it so far. She was using a 16" J&J prior to this, and she says she can see the difference, its pretty accurate, but expensive. the only reason she bought it was our friend gave us a good deal on it. But yeah she loves it and is even more excited to play now.
