I go out Dedember 8th. Last year I shot a buck, blew his stumich out. We trailed it for 2 or 3 ours until the blood trail stopped, never found it :dodgy:. The main reason for the gut shot is that the gun I was using, the scope would not mount coreectly so we could ne get it close to sighted in right. So after that I baught a remington model 700 in a .308. I got that thing sighted in at 1/4" at 50 yards. Can't wait until December 8th.

I went on Sunday. Saw a small buck, missed the first shot, hit it in the leg the second shot. I followed the blood for about two hours, and my neighbor and uncle thought that I killed it. But the trail led into extremely dense woods, and we wouldn't of been able to get it out, so unfortunately we had to leave it, which I felt bad about.

I was using my 30/30.

Man, I know how that is. I've been unable to find a couple of deer that I shot, and I hate not finding them worst of all. Good luck out there!

I use a 1950's winchester model 70 in 30-06. with the original redfiel scope. I can hold 1/2 inch groups at 200 yds.

I shot my first deer at 300yds.

My friend just shot a 303 lb., 10 point buck.

This is in northern Maine, btw.

thanks for the compliment. good shooting kinda runs in the family.

My dad was a giude, he taught me how to shoot, and my uncle holds the record for most points on a deer in Maine. ITs not in the books but he shot a 41 point swamp buck. HE was simaliar to the barnacle buck out west, If you are familiar with that.

I rarely deer hunt, cant stand shooting something innocent, but I take about 1 every 2 years. Didnt have the money for a big game tag this year since I have an annual Small Game and Fur Bearer tag already.

Went today and yesterday, saw 3 does and two others but couldnt tell what they were. Oh, well maybe tomorrow, I think I will shoot one of those does if I see them again.

What kind of gun do you all shoot.

I use a .303 British Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk3, cut down to resemble a L42a1. Or a H&R Single shot .223, with a old bushnell x6

I live in MA, bow hunting ends tomorrow, then shotgun opens up on monday for 2 weeks, then its muzzleload till new years. You cannot hunt on Sundays, at all....

There is not rifle hunting so I use a 20 gauge Remington 870 express with a nice slug barrel. I shoot expensive 3" shells and it is deadly accurate for a shotgun. like 2 inch groups at 100 yards on a benchrest. 6 inch on a good day standing.

THE INVISI-SIG!
I have no sig, because I am cool like that.
I love my phantom, because it is cool like that....schweet
