A5 push-pins Problems
Posted 06 April 2008 - 05:38 PM
I have a stock, air-thru commando to be exact, that I bearly take off.
The other day I was cleaning it and I took it off and had a push-pin snapped in half still inside of it.
So it was broken before I took it out.
How does this happen?
I can get new ones, but I would like to get this promblem under control.
And I have a friend that has broken some also, Ghost Sniper 09

I had the same problem after I installed my folding stock. After I inserted an o-ring I have never broken a pushpin.

I have been in contact with a member here, don't recall his name I'd have to check my PMs, who was going to make me a set of stainless steel pins. Expensive? Yes. But durable? Heck yes!

Hammer hits end cap or stock, repeating hits cause the break. A simple O-ring that fits nicely in the bolt chamber can be placed between the rear bolt and the end to absorb the hits.
And if you don't have any pins on hand when you break them, a nice stainless bolt and nut work nicely, never have to worry about breaking one of those
