Alright, well i finally cracked and bought myself a new Rotor and speedfeed, so I am inducing a halt of purchases from now until next year on buying any gear, seeing as i have now officially spent about 500$ in the past 2 months.

All, mind you, without actually being able to go out and play. This winter crap is costing me money. Someone make it end.......Posted Image

I have also blown my "non-vital, its not actually broken, cant this wait" budget for awhile.
Maybe.
Ok, I still need to get a new pump bracket for my Phantom. But other than that - really Im done. Oh, and some new gloves, mine are shredded. Maybe a 13ci tank too.
Crap.
Im probably going to buy more stuff anyway. The trick will be explaining the credit card bill to the Mrs...

Winter is freaking AWFUL for that. Except last year, I wasn't buying markers too. ><

Im on the West Coast, so we play all year...mostly. Winters are wet instead of white. Playing in rain isnt so good sometimes. Not undoable, but not always worth it. A little bit of snow on the field sounds fun, but I can see how this winter has been rough on players from the Mid-West.

My ability to blow money on paintball - games or gear - has more to do with paycheck/tax/financial schedules. Any time of year I can think of something to spend money on.

I tend to not buy anything for paintball during the winter, I did buy one barrel kit off a friend and a regulator both of which I needed to be able to play in the spring, but beyond that I never feel the need to buy during the winter. In the summer however, there is always something to pick up, and it doesn't help any that I actually have to pay to play while I'm buying new gear.

My buying habits don't really change with the seasons, just with my needs. I haven't really needed anything in the last many months so ihaven't bought anything. Hell last marker i bought was almost 2 years ago. I used to spend thousands on stuff every year. Now though, i try to only buy what i need when i need it. Makes things much cheaper. Plus i have had so much crap over the years i have sold that there is not much that i really need or require anymore. I had all my fun toys and mods...got nothing left really to pique my interest.

I don't know, a first strike marker is preatty awesome... you sure you don't want to try and play a clip fed first strike marker? :) I haven't bought much over the years... I usually spend less than $200 at a time. But I'm working on selling all my guns to get a Tiberius T9.1. (well all my guns except my T8) I haven't spent much, actually hardly any on equipment this year yet.... But I'm going, that's for sure.

Problem is during the winter it's either too cold to get people out or I'm too busy with school to play... so I tinker.
There's still a lot of stuff I'm interested in (having only started 2 summers ago, and I didn't do much summer 09) and since I can't really play in winter I order stuff online.

It's brutal, lol.

That it is. It's gonna be interesting putting a rotor on my phantom until my Proto comes back from DYE, totally unneeded, but worth it just for the awesome Posted Image
