i have a 04 pro stock sooting it with co2 just switched to hpa have not tested it in the field yet but i have dry fired it about 50 times my 48/3000 tank went from 3000 psi to 2400 psi is that sound about right to anyone the last time i used the gun i was running co2 and using dbx paintballs and the balls where way to small they would just roll out of the barrel i placed 1 in the barrel and i could see alot of lite around it was the only barrel back and paint i had that day forgot my other backs so my fault on that but anyways i had to adjust my velocity alot to get the gun to 280 fps so will that cause my hpa tank to go from 3000 psi to 2400 psi in 50 shots ?

Yeah , even with a good paint to barrel fit you are only going to get about 500 shots more or less.

Also when you dry fire a gun you use up more air than you would if you were shooting balls.

make sure to oil your O-rings and cheak for leaks.....600 psi for 50 shots isnt right...and i can get 650-700 shots with my 48/3000

No gun would use any more gas dry firing than shooting paintballs, but sweet spotting the reg I've personally found to increase effeciency by as much as 50%.

Actually dry firing WILL go through your gas faster. Just try it sometime.

Sweet spotting the reg will get you better effeciency. There is a how to in the stickies.

Also , open faced bolts are more effecient than venturi bolts.

its all stock except for a derlin bolt and the way i figured it out i would only get 250 shots from my 48/3000 even if you do use more air to dry fire it that still is not right there is no leaks every thing is all lubed up
