Speedball is 10.5bps now. No reason to not have 4/5 guns up off break.

Generally hitting a key 50 bunker is a big deal, and it's always easier to hit an inside 50 (like the X), but harder to stay alive there. Don't forget to use blind spots and 'shadows' as often as possible.

Coordinate with teammates to 'push' a guy out the back of his bunker- have someone shoot him in from the left, so he has to back out the right, where another gun is waiting.

If you're laning/ posting, and you get shot in, wrap backwards around your bunker while keeping the lane going- even if you can't aim at the guy, you can at least hold him in place, preventing him from moving, by putting paint ahead of where he wants to run.

On a snapshot, lead with your head- it moves faster than your gun.

Keep your elbows down and toes in. It can't be said enough.

Depends whether it's an active or passive effect/ coordinated or uncoordinated- you move up on him while he's being shot in, it's pinching. You shoot wide, so he gets 'pushed' out the back, so a teammate can pick him off... well, 'pushing'.

Terminology is kinda moot, though. Same concept, different timing. I tend to have idiotic teammates half the time, and be the idiotic teammate the other half the time, so I tend to stick to more individual moves. My roommate will hit the 50 while pumpkering a guy on a runthrough, then I'm the idiot hanging out at the 40. Or, I hit the 40 while my other buddies are at home, and they wind up being the idiots. Only one of my friends and I ever 'pinch' anybody, cuz we're evenly aggressive and evenly skilled, so our timing is good.

Maybe form where you're at, but for 90% of tourney ballers pinching is pinching. Unless you're talking about edging.

In paintball terminology.

Push refers to your team..."push to s2"

Pinch refers to other team..."pinch left dorito"

Maybe I just play with an older crew... "Yo Seth, push that mother outta D2 for me!"

Generally we use 'bump' or 'cut' to get upfield. Maybe I should stick to terminology-neutral advice. Advice like, oh, 'Don't cheat' or 'Don't be that guy sitting in the back.'

Or stuff like work 6 points of the standups, and 4 points of the smaller bunkers, don't be afraid to come over the top, be willing to shoot some cover towards a guy as you prepare to break upfield, cycle targets to avoid getting tunnel vision, know when to wrap, be prepared to switch hands to wrap out the backside to catch a guy with his pants down, listen to the corner's gun rhythm to hear when people are bumping. When guns get quiet, make your big moves. Know when to talk, and when to shut up and listen/ sneak. And whatever you do, don't be that 'bag who tries for the glory boy runthrough when it's 3 on 5. Or bumps up the snake when you need to be holding your cross instead.

Oh yeah, crosses- if you get down on men, switch to a cross- it tends to level the field when there are only two viable lanes to shoot, and if you play your bunkers tight enough, those two lanes are the only lanes you should be able to be shot from. Often, sitting in a blind spot behind your bunker can be more effective for crossing than 'playing' your bunker, as it gives you a wider field of view with similar or greater protection (it depends largely on how the pins are set up). If you get down to 3, sending a player deep, with corners crossed, will usually open up some big angles for all three players.

Don't forget, under the X (or what is it they call that half-X now, the 'Race2' bunker? Pshh.) is a great angle to shoot through. Nobody expects it.

Sounds like you do. Bumps and push are similar. Push generally means, get as far as you can go whereas bump normally means the bunker ahead of you.

Yea, most people call it the A or the Race bunker. That term is still up in the air cuz its so new. xD
