it makes me feel bad when i played my first game and acidently took my mask off, now that i completely relized what could happen.

i aways knew about your eye, but what i didnt know is that it was related to paintball.

we will now be moving our dead zone, or what ever you want to call it, farther away from the field.

it makes for a good story though, one that you will aways be able to tell to new players and friends.

good luck with the glucoma, i hope you dont have to suffer thrue more eye problems.

i thought the thing with my ears was bad.. god.

that's amazing... this should be stickied and i bet you could give paintball magazines this and they'd want it for an article about always wearing goggles.

In 1970 the Chevy Nova was created. This was the worst selling car in Mexico because the words "No va" mean "Doesn't go". If you would never buy a Saturn Ion because the word "Ion" means "Doesn't shoot", Put this in your profile.

So the lesson is-It is very dangerous to play paintball without a mask. When I see a newb raise thier mask in the hot zone I always freak out and start yelling "put your mask back on!" they always look at me like I'm crazy.

Wow, I was always curious about your story, didnt think it would be nearly that tragic... You should do paintball safety seminars for big events, like D-Day, because thats a really bad, preventable mishap...

I'm really glad to see that so many people are reading this, because when I first read it nobody seemed to be looking at it yet. This stuff is really important and If you just skimmed through it you are seriously missing one of the most important things a paintballer can possibly read. You guys don't need to keep saying to sticky this either, because there is no doubt in my mind that it will be.

1-I, you're lucky to be alive man. And like so many other people have requested, this should be stickied, not because saftey is asked alot, but because it's important.

Wow dude, amazing story. Im sorry for all the pain and problems youve felt. That is just horrible. Im glad you told us all this story so people know that these things can and will happen if you dont wear face protection. I cant imagine what it would be like to lose an eye. And i pray i never do. Thank you for sharing this with us all, may all the young kids who think they are invincible learn from this and learn we are all mortals, and we can all be hurt.

1-I, im glad you became a mod, couldnt have picked a better man.

Wow, only now I relize how fortunate my buddy Jimmy was.

He took a shot directly into the eye. He was driving his four-wheeler around when his dad (who he just got into paintball) and friend ambushed as he was coming up the drive way. They thougnt he would have his mask down, but he didn't.

They later chronoed the gun and it was firing at 434 fps. He now has perfect vision in the eye and still plays paintball. Note: this was without any surgery or anything 'cept pain killers. If thats not a miracle I don't know what is.

Edit: I have sent this via e-mail to all my friends. I would like to add this as a link to our website in-progress, please?
