Is scepter still in business, did they change there name, and can you till buy there Grenade Launcher or is it discontinued. I can find Refills for the Grenades but not the launcher.

I don't think they are in business anymore, occasionally you find them for sale in the forums.

Metadyne is coming out with an multi use launcher. Can be used as shoulder fired or converted to under barrel.

There are bound to be threads on it around here some where.

Scepter has unfortunatly went the way of the dinosaur. Last time I heard anythign from them on the net they were trying to reorganize after haivng some serious issues with the machining company they used. But that was well over a year ago.

Well it fits the 2 inch Nerf Pocket Vortex rounds so it is a larger diameter then the old Scepter 40 mm. Should be 52 MM. I think that is the equivilant for 2 inch... You should be able to launch grenades just fine. You'd have to use some wadding or make a sabot for it. And then you have to be carefull which nades you use. Some of the more senative grenades might not like being blasted out of a launcher and you might end up being the one painted by your own grenade. The Wet Willie style Grenade worked work well. My suggestion, is get the stuff to make your own grenades. If your gonna start using a good many, then that is the only way to not go broke. Most of the nades out there cost at least four or five bucks a pop...

And then of course if you choose to use paitn nades, be sure to make sure greandes outta launchers are permitted. Many fields wont allow them. Some do, some dont, just depends.

Scepter is gone. There was a post on the D-Day Adventure Park forum about this.

Basically, the owner got a "too good to be true" sized order from NPS. Instead of writing out terms of sale and requiring a % down, he morgaged his home to finance production of the order. Next thing you know, NPS pulls the order a the last minute before delivery date. Scepter sues, and looses. Everything's gone up in smoke.

Slivers, man, that sucks. Not what I had originally heard. I hate to say this, as its a bad thing to say, but I would have done very bad things to NPS.

I have one and am willing to sell if you are interested in a scepter. Mine is multicam and will mount on any weaver style rail.
