They are probably the worst paintball magazine I've read.

I'm afraid that they're not that special. They majorly bought into .50 cal, 'nuff said.

When I was fresh into paintball I could not get enough of APG. Now I could care less if I read it. The only reason I spent the money on the most recent copy I bought was because they did a write up of a scenario event I went to and they mentioned the team I was on at the time. That was back in 2008 just to let you know how long ago I bought a copy.

I was rather disappointed with the write up too. It did not really convey the intensity of the event. It seemed like the article writer just heard about the game from one of his buddies. I wouldn't be surprised since the event happened in May and the magazine was out in Oct. I think it was actually the Nov or Dec issue though.

Although the quality of APG has gone WAY down hill over the last few years, I still have a nostalgic appreciation for them. "Back in Day" they were really the only national level dedicated paintball publication going...I still have a stack of old issues from the 80's. I will give them some degree of credit for hanging on for 20+ years...not many companies in the paintball industry can say the same.

APG is good. If you are just getting into the game. I still pick it up from time to time, but it seems it's the same 10 or 12 articles rehashed over and over.

Jungle is somewhat better. I'm just not a big fan of their overall layout, even though it does focus on woodsball/mil-sim. Facefull is published by the same company but focuses on speedball.

I used to always get APG. That was back in 2000-2002. It was much better back then.
I had a subscription to Paintball Sports from Birth till Death. They were, by far, my favorite. Facefull is alright :/
