Alright, for some odd reason I can't seem to adjust my gun's velocity to 270. the max velocity seems to platform at 245 and won't budge no matter how much I unscrew the damn velocity screw.

I bought my gun to a shop and they gave it back with no note (they didn't charge me anything?)

At first I thought it might be the flatline barrel's backspin that might modify the velocity, so I put the stock back... no change.
Also, I have switched between compressed air/CO2 remote/no remote without any substantial change.

Any ideas that I could twiddle around with that doesnt require gun disassembly or what not? I'm not exactly a pro at it.. and don't have my own proper chronometer or what not so... not sure what to do.

Also would like to add that this gun is pretty much brand new. Only used less than 10 times

If their was no fps differace from the flatline to the stock barrel, then i don't think it's the gun that has a prob. Sounds like your chrono may need new batteries, or even be broke.

you need a spring kit for your a-5, it makes the hammer hit the valve harder which lets more air through

Do you have an air through stock with it? If so, what type?

they are mass produced, every one is somewhat different, just because his works right out of the box doesn't mean yours will do the same, it may be a problem with the valve, you could always tru contacting tippmann and asking for their help

the only way you can really fix it on your own is to buy a spring kit

get a spring kit. they're fairly cheap. should be less than $10 at any pb shop or online store. that would be the first thing you want to check if it's simply a velocity issue, unless you're using CO2. In that case you want to make sure the bottle warms up a little before you check the velocity. Cold CO2 hasn't fully expanded into a gas and won't allow your velocity to get where it needs to be.
