I went and saw it Friday night. On a scale of 1- 10 I give it a 7.

Some of the effects didn't quite blend as well as they could have, the molded mouth on Snake Eyes' mask just irritated the hell out of me and some of the back stories/sub plot just didn't seem right.

Snake Eyes vs Stormshadow.... their final battle was very heavily influenced by Star Wars.

But over all the movie had the same cool factor that the cartoons had when I was a kid!

I've heard not a lot of people were too thrilled with GI Joe or District 9.. but I still want to see both.

I've heard nothing about either, but I also want to see them both.

Anybody that walks into a live action G.I Joe movie and expects an Oscar contender is probably not allowed to walk outside without a helmet.

Truer words were never spoken....

Since when do movies have to be so uppity? What about liking a movie just because it is fun?

GI Joe was pretty good honestly, but it needed less "Save the world" and more "AMERICA IS AWESOME YOUR COUNTRY SUCKS AND Frag! YOU COBRA" attitude.

Exactly. It was certainly fun, but my only complaint is that it should have come out sometime during the mid to late-eighties when I was wishing for it to do so on a daily basis.

And for the record, D9 was great, especially the second half. Neill Blomkamp (creator of the "Halo: Landfall" proof-of concept shorts) is going to be huge one day. Mark my words.

I have thought this ever since I saw the Halo Landfall trailer.

If they ever get the ball rolling on the Halo movie, it's going to be epic because of Mr. Blomkamp

holy crap. if the Halo movie gets that action packed.....holy crap..I see very Ridley-Scott-esque approach to it from ALIENS series.....worn combat gear, realistic effects mostly, and badbuttery! and maybe we could actually see a fan made movie of Colonial marines (ALINES) versus the HALO Spartans.....

I still have to go, but this weekend I stayed at the Movie Producer's cabin. Steven Summers. My grandparents and him are best friends so he let them rent out his cabin :dodgy:
