The Rocket Cock II is easily the best upgrade for the Tippmann Custom 98 under $20. This one of those products that simply does what it sets out to do and does it very well. A stock Custom 98 has an open side bolt which you cock once before firing. The Rocket Cock II fits snugly over the frame of Custom 98 and completely encases the bolt. To cock your marker, simply pull back on the cocking ring and you're ready to go.

Rocket Cock IIIf you play in the woods, there are three things this product does that you will really appreciate. One, it keeps your internals clean. Your stock 98 is vulnerable to dirt and paint working their way into your internals through the exposed bolt. Field stripping and cleaning out a gunked up marker isn't any fun and will take you out of the action. Install the Rocket Cock II and forget about it. It fits snugly over the frame of your marker and installs easily. Your internals stay clean and you stay in the game.

Second, the Rocket Cock II offers your fingers some protection against the bolt which slides back and forth every time you fire the marker. If you have ever gotten a finger or thumb pinched by a bolt, you'll appreciate this upgrade. The Rocket Cock completely covers the bolt and is engineered so that the cocking knob remains stationary when the marker fires.

Third, the Rocket Cock II makes the 98C noticeably quieter. Unless you WANT a loud gun, a quieter marker is a big advantage. I have had several friends comment on how quiet my Custom 98 is since I installed the Rocket Cock II. Short of installing a silencer, the Rocket Cock II is a slick upgrade for anyone looking to hush up their noisy 98.

If you aren't exactly mechanically inclined, no worries mate. This is a modification that anyone can install in minutes. You don't even have to open up the gun. The Rocket Cock II is available in plastic or aluminum. Made from durable glass-filled fiber composite material, the Rocket Cock II has been re-designed with reinforced mounting holes.

So let's recap. For less than $20, the Rocket Cock II looks sweet, works great, quiets you gun and keeps dirt and crud from taking you out of the action. Screw this little sucker on and start playing more and cleaning less. Lock and load, gentlemen!
